Unemployment is one of the many reasons that causes intense depression which at times can be fatal too. So, why shall we not discuss about such an important cause of depression. There are about 350 million people in the whole world that suffer from serious levels of depression, lets fight out one of the cause of depression, the unemployment.
We as humans have really performed very outrageously on various upfronts. The technological advancements have been a real treat to all the comforts of the human beings; and with a vision of setting up a human colony at Mars in the near future, we are creating a platform where only half of the Darwin’s principle is followed; the better and more adaptive organisms stays for long but the lesser adaptive don’t get eliminated; they both stay. This would lead to something severe where there might be enough phones to satisfy everyone but not enough food to keep them sustained. Thus, the sector that needs to be taken on gracefully is, the Agriculture.

Agriculture would be attracting a great deal of entrepreneurs as it influences almost our entire homosapien species but over the years, there has been a tragic decline in the number of people who are directly linked with agriculture. Statistically, according to a data provided by the World bank there has been a significant downfall in the number of people employed in the agriculture sector, from a satisfying forty percent to a concerning twenty seven percent over a period of seventy years; this means only 2 billion of the population is trying to feed the 7.5 billion population. Thus, there is a need to get our entrepreneur brains working in the direction towards making the agricultural practises more and more efficient. Investors and shareholders would definitely be looking for entrepreneurs who would like to create an impact in this sector.
Agriculture in itself is a very diverse field and needs careful investment of time, money, technology and efforts at different levels. Though, it might seem like investing in agriculture is more of a non profitable business but stress has to be made on the fact that it has a market size of worth 4.8 trillion. Entrepreneurship in agriculture sector doesn’t mean dressing up traditionally and devoting yourself completely to mother earth; clean and tidy suits can do the trick as well, just like any other sector, the path involved is the same yet demands high efficiency.

There would be a huge shortage of land required to produce enough to nourish the population of the world, thus there is a requirement of innovative methods to enhance the productivity. The vertical garden which is getting popular in urban areas is an example that should be enough to impart the amount of innovation required in this sector. Though, it might sound scary and risky and budding entrepreneur might think of it as a very foolish idea to start of their business from this sector; but, they should be aware of the great opportunities in this sector which are untapped and demand attention. Their slight courage now can turn out to be very productive in the long run, specially for the young entrepreneurs, with speedy brains and enthusiasm to change the world with their ideas.
The important sub sectors of agriculture are the tools and equipments, fertilizers, surveillance and analysis and research and development. There are numerous problems or opportunities for entrepreneurs in each of these sectors which require cutting edge technology to lift them enough to meet the never ending demands of the population. The twenty seven percent of the population which is engaged in agriculture looks toward the entrepreneurs with a hope that they can bring in the change which would either stop their decline or uplift their present situations.
Influential entrepreneurship is the need of hour in the agricultural sectors. Most of the people engaged in agriculture, do not wish their children to be in this sectors; they want their children to get good high profile jobs. This perception has to be changed by the entrepreneurs. Agricultural sector should be made one of the most sought after sectors for jobs and that can be done by passionate entrepreneurs who enter this sector with an aim to make a change.

The agricultural sector offers enough problems, for entrepreneurs to solve and experiment with and thus helps in the development of the entrepreneurs. The problems involved in this sector are such that most of the entrepreneurs can easily relate to as they have been affected by them sometimes in their lives. Considering the example of high prices of food items; the end users are charged heavily for the food they buy but does that money really reach the person who bakes himself in the sun, if it did, there wouldn’t have been a collapse in this sector. This is an opportunity for the entrepreneurs, their energetic minds can work towards a way where profits are equally divided in the process and each member of the process holds importance equivalent to his inputs. There is a need for a change in this sector and who other than entrepreneurs can bring in the change. They are the reasons why people have started equating change to entrepreneurship.
You yeah, Agriculture might look old fashioned but it is the basic necessity and thus is the concern regarding careful investment and securitization in this sector. And it would certainly break the shackles of unemployment by bringing Agriculture to rescue.
